2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Tree frogs are specially designed
with suction discs on the bottom
of their toe pads to enable them
to stick to vertical surfaces. We
can learn a lot from our tree frog
friends. As Christians, we need to
attach ourselves firmly to Christ.
2007 Women's Conference - September 14-15
There is something very majestic about a flourishing tree. It speaks of life, strength, and stability. It also powerfully communicates the words of Jeremiah 17:7-8, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD… he shall be like a tree planted by the waters.” Interestingly that word "planted" actually refers to a transplanted tree. How beautifully this describes our lives as Christians. We have been taken out of the kingdom of darkness and transplanted into the kingdom of light.
But transplants can be dangerous. If not properly nurtured a tree can easily wither. Our Father has taken great care to transplant each of us that we might be effective for His kingdom. But sometimes we find ourselves wilting and even drooping. How can we maintain that place of growth and fruitfulness? That is the theme of our 2007 POW Women’s Conference – Planted by the Waters.
